World Domination Reviewed
You are running the world for a day, what are the first 5 things you do and why? Legalize all narcotics. Ban the use of all narcotics in public (or being under the influence in public). Ban all religions. Institute a universal language (and maybe ban all others). Institute a universal currency. And number 6: Institute an elite corps of morality police ^_^.
I took part in a blogosphere meme a few months ago. It was a basic exercise in getting to know a bit more about other bloggers through a series of Q&A posts. The above was one of the questions I answered. As some of you may have noticed from my postings, I tend to think about what it would take to make the world better. And so, recently, I have decided to revise my answer.
- Kill a lot of people. Millions! Even billions! It won't be random genocide, but I have yet to decide on exactly whom to eliminate and why. Probably smokers. Perhaps the incurable?
- Legalize all narcotics.
- Ban the use of all narcotics in public (or being under the influence in public).
- Institute universals (e.g. currency, language) and ban all others.
- Ban all religions. Even the church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster.
- Hatch a scheme to insure that I maintain rulership until the proper mechanisms can be devised to locate potential better rulers.

you should also abolish "politics" and people should get licenses before they can get pregnant... and pass an IQ test, and basic human decency test, and a responsibility test. compulsory for both males and females.

And here is where I have my moral dilemma. I am very pro human freedoms and all that comes fro, self-empowering power-up. Unfortunately, to really create a 'perfect' and 'good' world would entail removing certain freedoms. Where's the balance?
I don't like IQ tests. What do they really say? You're mathematically smart, but still an asshole of a human being? We need some sort of holistic review of individuals - conducted by my elite morality police squad ninjas.

IQ tests are lame. especially when people base all sorts of on decisions for other people's lives on them.
its really just a general indicator. coz, you could do 5 IQ tests in one day and they will all have different results.
i know, coz ive tried. i have little faith in them. but, i do think, people should be able to do basic arithmetic and spelling before making spawnlings.

No double standards. Leaving one religion behind would make it the state religion by default and I don't want to mix my state and religion. Ethical athiesm for all survivors.
